We have developed a process to guide us as we help people go from being a new Christian to a mature Christian. There is a beginning point and there are beginning commitments. The progress you would like to make in your Christian life has been broken down into a series of steps you can take to help you learn and grow in your relationship with God.

Along the way you will make commitments to membership, involvement in a Life Group, learning the basics of the Christian faith, and helping in ministry. Classes are offered to guide your learning. This process helps add direction to your life and makes the idea of growing as a Christian much less confusing. The main ministry areas (Sunday Worship, Life Groups and Equipping Ministries) interact in an orderly fashion. You can see where you are going, what you can learn, and set your desires and plans accordingly. Our goal is to help each person move around the bases toward Christian maturity.

Each step in the process focuses on one of the six important purposes God has for the church. As you grow you have the opportunity to incorporate those purposes more fully into your own Christian experience.

The leadership at Prairie Ridge is structured according to our purposes. A team of leaders is responsible for each base around the diamond, and for the church purposes they represent. This ensures that our church is well balanced, that each of the important purposes will be operating smoothly, and that you will have a team of leaders helping you to successfully progress in your Christian life at every base.

Your first step is Membership Class. You will learn with clarity the gospel of Christ. It will start you off right. It will help you to make a commitment of faith in Jesus Christ if you have not yet done so. It will give you the assurance of God’s love, eternal life and forgiveness. The message of the gospel is foundational to all we do here at Prairie Ridge. Your understanding of the great truths in the gospel are foundational to your relationship with God and will have a major affect on your progress and joy in the Christian life. The Membership Class will also help you take the first step to being meaningfully involved at Prairie Ridge.

The classes that follow will help you grow in your faith, grow in your knowledge of God and His word, grow in Christian character, and grow in your ability and desire to be involved in helping others.

You are embarking on a wonderful journey. It is our privilege to get to know you and help you in this process.
