Awesome activities and good friends are critical for our teens. We try to provide the best environment we can for their development. The teens named their ministry P.R.A.Y. (for Prairie Ridge Awesome Youth), and several parents are involved to give them the necessary direction and instruction.

On Sundays, during the message part of our church service, the teens meet to discuss topics that are especially interesting and relevant to them. The discussion is guided by an adult. The topics blend Biblical truth, Christian living, and issues the kids face at school and in their personal lives. The teens enjoy the regular church service, but this is designed just for them.

The older teens form part of the leadership, along with adult supervision. Once a month they have group activities, like volleyball, hiking, pizza parties, etc. And each spring is their weekend retreat. It’s a great time to meet a lot of other Christian teens, and hear some powerful messages that will affect their lifestyle, their choices, and their behavior in a positive way.

The teen group now has a weekly bible study in Aurora. It meets on Wednesday evenings for bible study and fellowship. Other activities are planned by each group individually with joint activities scheduled every quarter. Schedule of Activities:

Discipleship Classes: Every other week the guys (Tue) and gals (Sun) meet separately to develop accountability between the students to help them apply their Christian faith.

Senior High Sunday School: Each Sunday, the High Schoolers are developing their Christian knowledge, convictions and Christ-like lifestyles. It also is a great time to connect and support each other.

Teen X-Changes: Open discussions between Christians and non-Christians for 8 weeks.

X-treme Worship: Fifty teens gather from all over Denver for a night of worship and dynamic testimonies of God's power at work in our high schools. The next will be October 14th.

Midwest Teen Conference: In April of each year, 400 awesome teens travel to Estes Park, Colorado gather to fan aflame their spiritual walk with God.

Summer Leadership Training: For one week in July 2005, a bunch of spiritual hungry teens gather for an intense week listening to national speakers, service projects and on-the-job leadership training.
